Colour Quality Is Non-Negotiable

Property particulars need to look sharp. Window cards need to pop. If your copier produces washed-out colours or grainy photos, it reflects badly on your brand before a buyer even walks through the door.

Speed Matters, But Not as Much as You Think

A 25ppm machine is fine for a two-person branch. A 45ppm machine makes sense for a busy head office. Don't let someone sell you a 65ppm production machine for a four-desk office. You'll never use the speed and you'll pay over the odds.

What matters more than raw speed is first-page-out time. When an agent needs to print a set of particulars for a viewing in twenty minutes, waiting 15 seconds for the machine to warm up from sleep mode is annoying. Epson's Heat-Free machines print the first page in about 6 seconds. Laser machines typically take 10 to 20 seconds.

It also lets you enforce sensible defaults. Mono printing by default for internal documents, colour only when staff actively choose it. Duplex by default to halve paper costs. These rules alone can cut printing costs by 20-30% across a group. For a group with 10+ branches, that's thousands saved annually.

Small branch (1-3 staff): Develop ineo+ 250i. Compact, great colour, low running costs.

Medium branch (4-8 staff): Develop ineo+ 300i or Sharp BP-70C45. Faster, more paper capacity.

Head office / high volume: Develop ineo+ 450i or 550i. Built for heavy daily use with finishing options.

If running costs matter most: Epson AM-C4000. Inkjet with significantly lower electricity and waste costs. The colour finish is excellent for most uses, though laser still edges it for glossy property brochures.
