Choose Epson if…
You care about running costs and sustainability. You don't need to print on glossy stock regularly. You want a machine that's ready to print the moment someone presses the button, no waiting around for it to warm up. Schools, healthcare settings, and offices that print mostly documents (not marketing materials) tend to love Epson. The running costs are measurably lower, and the fact that there's no fuser to replace means fewer engineer visits and less downtime.
Choose Sharp if…
