Heat-Free Technology: What It Actually Means
Every laser printer uses a fuser unit that heats up to about 200°C to melt toner onto paper. That fuser needs replacing every 100,000-200,000 pages (costing a few hundred quid), uses a lot of electricity, takes time to warm up from sleep, and eventually wears out other parts around it.
Epson's PrecisionCore line-head technology doesn't use heat at all. Piezoelectric elements fire ink droplets directly onto the page. The print head is fixed across the full width of the paper. No moving carriage, no warm-up, no fuser. You press print and the first page lands in about 6 seconds. From cold.
The result? Fewer parts to replace, lower electricity bills, less waste going to landfill, and faster first-page-out times than most lasers. It's not a gimmick. It's a fundamentally better way to print in an office environment.
