Same PrecisionCore Heat-Free platform as the C4000, but faster. The AM-C5000 does 50 pages per minute in colour and mono, with a first page out time of 5.6 seconds. The scanning is identical at 120 ipm duplex, and paper capacity goes up to 5,150 sheets with options. Epson says it uses up to 55% less power than colour lasers at this speed, and from what we've seen that tracks. The ink supply system is the same high-yield setup, so running costs stay low even at higher volumes. Same DURABrite Pro pigment inks, same build quality, just more throughput.
